From Bootcamp to Boardroom
Founded in 2010 and rooted in the Caribbean, CILC has grown from a single leadership bootcamp into a comprehensive family business advisory firm with over 100 clients across the region and beyond.
How It All Started
The Caribbean Institute of Leadership & Coaching (CILC) was founded by M Ian Blanchard after his global journey took him from the Caribbean to Silicon Valley, the Cayman Islands, Yemen in the Middle East, and back. The journey began with the creation and delivery of the Caribbean Leadership Bootcamp in Trinidad & Tobago.
Building the Franchise
Coach IanB solidified the brand by becoming the sole franchise owner in Barbados & the Eastern Caribbean of ActionCOACH — one of the world's number one coaching firms. This period cemented CILC's reputation for excellence in business coaching and people development.
Leadercast Caribbean
CILC began hosting the Caribbean's premier leadership conference — Leadercast — bringing transformative events to countries such as Trinidad, Barbados, Grenada, and Guyana. These events brought world-class leadership insights to Caribbean organisations.
Embracing Our Role
CILC branched out with its own coaching and organizational and business development programs, supporting family and mid-size businesses. Our purpose became clear: "To Create Sustainable Growth through People & Business Development."
